Something was somewhere....

And here I find myself amidst crowd of youngsters. I and my friend have already decided to relive the college days so we decided to pick up the stall tickets rather than balcony. After all balcony was never in thought when were in college forget multiplexes.

We proceeded to our seat. I could see four students’ ooops two couples to be precise (However I tried avoiding this “couple” term but during the movie the closeness among them, said it itself) with school uniform and batches of “8E”. Oh lord they were still not 18 and they have managed to get the tickets of an “A” rated movie. Bribe, connections or mere ignorance of hall authorities? Something was somewhere.

As I settled down on my seat my friend whispered “Did you see there batches? They are still in school and look what are they doing?” Since I am owner of bad observation she took it for granted that I would have overlooked this but this time I won the race. :)

I could also see one old uncle two rows before me. What a crowd with different age group of audience. This was common scenario but this time it struck me as he was not looking at the screen. Then what was he doing? I was more curious to know than watching how the actress finds out that her boyfriend is a male escort. I was so restless that at times my friend was nudging her elbow and asking me to look straight up the screen. My restlessness continued and finally during intermission I got the opportunity and then I saw something strange. He was looking at ground as if finding something. I thought to offer him my help in finding what he has lost then I decided to keep my help to myself. In 20 min he didn’t move. Once the crowd started filing in, he lifted his head and I could see a drop of tear rolling his right cheek. Was the movie emotional or was he just trying to escape from his loneliness by sitting in dark place.

During the movie I could also hear some young guys whispering “Isn’t it a cool job to be an escort rather than studying so hard with no guarantee whether we will get placed?” The other guy beamed and nodded. So was this the learning they will take home. I hope they were not serious. As the movie got over our dream to relive college days was still not fulfilled as we found ourselves too old to gel in that crowd.

Was it the movie, the crowd, the old uncle, or just the “all?” I couldn’t figure out what made me pen down this incidence but I am sure something did..!!!
